Making Progress
Carrie reports that Miss Julia had some good progress today; she is breathing over the ventilator again, and opening her eyes a little. We are excited to announce that she is pooping and peeing on her own. She is being weaned off of steroids and her central line is being taken out. All of this is great news. She also is now wearing wrist and ankle guards to ensure she stays in good alignment. Since she is not moving her own body much at this point, the nursing team is constantly readjusting her position in bed. Nice work, Julia!

This sounds like a very good day. Little gal is working really hard and I'm sure that now she has had a week of good nutrition and resting, she is going to continue to make progress this week! So grateful for her medical team and their commitment to Julia's recovery. Hugs to all :). Xoxo
